The fun doesn’t stop when you move in – in fact, it’s just the beginning. We offer many opportunities for daily socialization and our residents still enjoy an active lifestyle with games, interests and activities that stimulate their mind and increase the smiles. Socials, live entertainment, card games, bingo, sing-a-longs, outings to local venues and even the occasional outdoor picnic are just a part of our busy social schedule.
We have a covered outdoor patio where our residents may enjoy quiet moments by the reflecting pond. Avid readers can use the numerous books and magazines which are conveniently located throughout the facility. We have a large screen TV in the Activity Room where many residents take part in a favorite past-time: the “movie and popcorn” weekend matinee.
For those residents that wish to participate in religious activities, we are fortunate to have volunteers from a variety of local denominations that visit on a regular basis to offer services such as: spiritual guidance, Sunday School, scripture readings, Communion Services, Gospel Hymns and visitations. At Nature’s Edge we believe in putting some “fun into your life and keeping the life in your fun” as our monthly galleries below clearly demonstrate. With the resident or caregiver’s permission, distant family members and friends are able to view and even download the smiles captured in our frequent photo updates. It is an excellent opportunity for children to witness their parents socializing and for the grand-kids to have something to “discuss with Nana” because they found her photos on the internet. We’ve offered this photo service for eight years and families have downloaded hundreds of photos from the monthly galleries as keepsakes.
